I first started this project in 2010 with in mind to bring some help to the Second Life Gorean Communauty since it suffered drasticly of creativity in Roleplays and Economie was just a joke, people walking around with golds and purchasing the least insignificant thing for such an awful insane price....none is yet really aware of Currency and the value of coins in Gor.

With this work, i hope people will be interested in visiting the Center and learn to be more realistic with their Economy.

It is an online Area you can easily find by Searching "GCLC" or "Gorean Currency"

Also, within the Center you will be presented the other part of my project, a complete and Free of charge currency system with HUD. It is called the Gorean Currency System aka GCS.

The GCS is a low lag HUD & Server using only 64Kb memory per script, knowing there are only 3 scripts to get it to work properly:

-1 script for the Server

-1 Script for the HUD

-1 Script for the HUD giver.

This is not a Prims system, but full Roleplay System, and fully Gorean as i designed this system picking quotes from the books to offer full realism.

I recently met a long time friend and she shared with me a notecard i found very interesting, it is picked from a class that happened in Second life at the D/s academy, and actually found it quite relevant about Gor & BDSM.

Gorm Runo: We will be discussing Gor and BDSM,,,,and what is their relationship to each other.
Gorm Runo: I have a somewhat different perspective than many on Gor about this subject.
Gorm Runo: I came to Gor without any knowledge of the BDSM lifestyle.
Gorm Runo: I had heard of it, but did not understand it at all.
Gorm Runo: In the years I have been on Gor, I have made a point to learn more about BDSM. I have done this both online and offline.
Gorm Runo: When I first became aware of BDSM and its connection to Gor. I asked a friend, who was a very wise and long time Gorean, what was the difference between a Gorean Man and a BDSM Dom.
Gorm Runo: and he told me this.
Gorm Runo: "A BDSM Dom is defined by his relationship to his submissive. He is dominant, because she is submissive.
Gorm Runo: A Gorean is not defined by his relationship to anyone. If he were the only human being left alive on the planet, he would still be a Gorean Man.
Gorm Runo: This definition carried me for many years, and I quoted it often.
Gorm Runo: Of course, there are many things that they have in common, and people have seen these things and assumed they are the same, or part of the same thing.
Gorm Runo: I am reminded of the comparison between, for example, two sports.
Gorm Runo: In American football, and what Americans call soccer, and is known as football in other places,
Gorm Runo: there are many terms that are similar.
Gorm Runo: You play halfs,,,,you score goals,,,,you have halfbacks and fullbacks,
Gorm Runo: you use a ball.
Gorm Runo: you kick the ball.
Gorm Runo: you can think of many things the two sports share.
Gorm Runo: and most important of all, they are both games.
Gorm Runo: but they are not the same game.
Gorm Runo: despite the fact that they use similar terminolgy.
Gorm Runo: terminology even
Gorm Runo: Gor and BDSM are similar in that they are both what would be called alternative lifestyles.
Gorm Runo: but there are other alternative lifesyles as well that do not in any way resemble either.
Gorm Runo: They speak of submission, slaves, Masters, whips, chains.
Gorm Runo: and so, like football and soccer, one who did not know better might think them the same game.
Gorm Runo: BDSM is a much larger lifestyle.
Gorm Runo: My small earth hometown has a BDSM group that is fairly active. In fact, their "dungeon" is next door.
Gorm Runo: which is convenient.
Gorm Runo: but there is no group of Goreans meeting monthly here.
Gorm Runo: or having "get to know each other" meetings at a local restaurant.
Gorm Runo: So, to many people, Gor is considered a subsection of BDSM.
Gorm Runo: an offshoot of it.
Gorm Runo: and many people have backgrounds in both, and move freely from one to the other.
Gorm Runo: but, so to can an athlete play both football in the fall and soccer in the Spring.
Gorm Runo: this does not make them the same game either.
Gorm Runo: here is my, rather humble, opinon of the major difference between the two.
Gorm Runo: The guiding philosophy of BDSM is based on tolerance. It is often said that "whatever is your kink"
Gorm Runo: is fine, as long as it is consenual and does no harm to others.
Gorm Runo: Gor, on the other hand is based a bit more on intolerance.
Gorm Runo: It looks at this very liberal feeling that anything goes as one of the major problems of society.
Gorm Runo: There are things that are unacceptable to Goreans.
Gorm Runo: One example is the idea of the Domme,,,having equal status with the Dom
Gorm Runo: The BDSM way of thinking would suggest that some are dominant, and some are submissive.
Gorm Runo: and it does not really matter who is who,,,or what gender.
Gorm Runo: In fact, the idea of the Switch,,,,is quite common in BDSM
Gorm Runo: a person who can "be" dominant one night, and choose to be submissive the next.
Gorm Runo: A Gorean could not understand this.
Gorm Runo: Gor would admit the fact that you can not take billions of human beings and lump them into a single mold.
Gorm Runo: There are dominant women, and their are submissive men.
Gorm Runo: Goreans do not deny this obvious fact.
Gorm Runo: and some Men are certainly more dominant than others,,,,and some females are certainly more submissive.
Gorm Runo: Goreans recognize this, and in fact, it is a major part of Gorean thought that whenever you try to label people as the "same" in anyway, you are going astray.
Gorm Runo: Goreans know history, and know of Joan of Arc, and Queen Elizabeth of England.
Gorm Runo: We know that women carried weapons and fought beside their men countless times,,,most recently in Israel.
Gorm Runo: People speak of "genetic" hiccups, and of certain unusal and unnatural circumstances.
Gorm Runo: So, no Gorean in his right mind would say,,,,"all men are strong, and all women weak."
Gorm Runo: or "all Men are dominant,,,and all women submissive.
Gorm Runo: But Gor is not based solely on the concept of this Gender based natural order.
Gorm Runo: The Philosophy that guides Gor is more about the idea that we,,,as a whole, have strayed too far from the gender comfort zones that are what our genetic heritage and evolutionary history have really made us.
Gorm Runo: In other words,,,Men are forgetting to be Men,,,and women have lost the art of being women.
Gorm Runo: So, in the Gorean lifestyle, we come together and swing the pendulum really hard in the opposite direction.
Gorm Runo: and demand maximum masculinity from Men,,,and maximum feminitity from females.
Gorm Runo: It really has little to do with dominance and submission,,,so to call it BDSM would be wrong.
Gorm Runo: It has more to do with role.
Gorm Runo: It is true, Goreans can be said to go to far, in many cases, to the other extreme, but they do so because society has swung so far from balance that drastic measures must be taken.
Gorm Runo: Many of the Gorean sims, here on SL, have their women in control, and their kneeling male slaves.
Gorm Runo: and many think STI is extreme for not allowing Free women an "equal" place in our community.
Gorm Runo: People will point to Lara, the tatrix of Tharna,,,,or to the male silk slaves in the holdings of certain rich women in the books as examples that this is, indeed, part of Gor.
Gorm Runo: and it is hard to argue this, when one is totally roleplaying the world of the books.
Gorm Runo: But the Gorean lifestyle is not meant for "dominant" women, nor is it the place for weak and submissive Men.
Gorm Runo: We think that women are slowly becoming too dominant in society and in relationships, and that Male are slowly becoming too weak and irresponsible.
Gorm Runo: and so, we don the name Goreans, and practice a way of life that seeks to bring this back into its natural balance.
Gorm Runo: I attended a party,,,,a BDSM collaring, and saw a male slave of one of the Domme's.
Gorm Runo: she had dressed him in a cowboy custume,,,complete with little toy pistols, and he knelt at her feet.
Gorm Runo: and BDSM would say,,,,this is their kink, and it harms no one.
Gorm Runo: and they would be right, too.
Gorm Runo: Gor says,,,,Men are already becoming weak enough, and need to get off their knees, and stand up and act like Men.
Gorm Runo: and they too would be right.
Gorm Runo: Because, BDSM and Gor are not even like apples and oranges,
Gorm Runo: They are like apples and anvils.
Gorm Runo: Not even vaguely related.
Gorm Runo: and so, one does not need to choose between them,,,or speak out in favor of one and against the other.
Gorm Runo: They serve different purposes, and are guided by different principles, and add to the wonderful diversity of our world.

Nous allons discuter de l'univers Gor et du BDSM,,,, et quelle est la relation de l'un par rapport à l'autre.

J'ai un point de vue quelque peu différent de beaucoup sur Gor à ce sujet. J'ai découvert Gor sans aucune connaissance du mode de vie BDSM. J'en avais entendu parlé, mais ne comprenait pas du tout cet univers.
Au cours des années que j'ai passés sur Gor, je me suis fait un point d'honneur d'en apprendre plus à propos de l'univers BDSM. Je l'ai fait à la fois en ligne et hors ligne.
Quand j'ai pris conscience de BDSM et de sa connexion avec l'univers Goréen. J'ai demandé à un ami, qui est très sage et à passé beaucoup de temps dans l'univers de Gor, quelle était la différence entre un homme Goréen et un Dominant BDSM. il me répondit:

"Un Dominant BDSM est définie par sa relation avec sa soumise, il est dominant, car elle lui est soumise.....
Un Goréen n'est pas défini par une relation avec quiconque. S'il était le seul être vivant sur la planète, il resterait encore et toujours un homme Goréen."

Cette définition me resta pendant de nombreuses années, et je la cite souvent.
Bien sûr, il ya beaucoup de choses qu'ils ont en commun, et les gens qui ont vu ces choses assument la plupart du temps que ce sont les mêmes, ou en partie la même chose.
Je me souviens de la comparaison entre, par exemple, deux sports:
Les Américains dans le football américain, et ce qu'ils appellent le "soccer", plus connu comme le football en Europe.
il ya beaucoup de termes qui sont similaires. Vous jouez des mi-temps,,,, vous marquer des buts,,,, vous avez avants (attaquants) et des arrières (défenseurs), vous utilisez un ballon, vous frappez dans le ballon, vous pouvez penser à beaucoup de choses, que ces deux sports partagent, et le plus important de tout, ce sont tous deux des jeux. Mais ils ne sont pas le même jeu.

En dépit du fait qu'ils utilisent des terminolgies similaires, Gor et  le BDSM sont similaires en ce sens qu'ils sont tous les deux ce qu'on pourrait appeler: "des modes de vie alternatifs".
Mais il y'a d'autres styles de vie alternatives qui ne leur ressemble en rien, sans aucun points communs.
Ils parlent de soumission, des esclaves, des Maîtres, des fouets, des chaînes et, comme le football et le "soccer", quelqu'un n'y connaissant rien pourrait les confondrent et croire qu'il s'agit du même jeu. L'univers BDSM est un mode de vie beaucoup plus grand.

Ma petite ville natale a une communauté BDSM qui est assez active. En fait, leur «donjon» est juste à côté de chez moi, ce qui est pratique... mais il n'y a pas de communauté de Goréens qui se réunissent mensuellement ici ou qui ont des "Munch" (apprendre à se connaître les uns les autres) dans un restaurant local.
Donc, pour beaucoup de gens, Gor est considéré comme une sous-section du BDSM, une branche de celui-ci et de nombreuses personnes ont une "formation" issue des deux univers, et évoluent librement de l'un à l'autre.
Mais, si un athlète peut jouer au football américain à l'automne et au soccer (football européen) au printemps, cela n'en fait toujours pas le même jeu.

Voici, mon modeste opinion sur la grande différence entre les deux univers:
La philosophie de base du BDSM est basé sur la tolérance. On dit souvent que
«quel que soit votre "kink"»
C'est bien, tant qu'il est consenual et ne nuit pas aux autres.

La philosophie Goréene, d'autre part repose un peu plus sur l'intolérance.
Il apparait à ce sentiment très libérale, que tout se qu'il se passe actuellement dérive des problèmes majeurs de la société. Il ya des choses qui sont inacceptables pour des Goréens.
Un exemple en est celui des "Dommes",, ayant un statut d'égalité avec celui des "Doms"
La pensée BDSM suggère que certains sont dominants et certains sont soumis. et il n'y a pas vraiment d'importance de savoir qui est quoi ou de quel sexe il est, c'est une recherche personnelle sans barrières. En fait, l'idée du "switch" est assez commune dans le BDSM, une personne qui peut être une nuit "dominante", peut choisir d'être "soumise" la prochaine. Un Goréen ne peut accepter cela.

L'unvers de Gor admet le fait que vous ne pouvez pas prendre des milliards d'êtres humains et les forger dans le même et unique moule. Il y'a des femmes dominantes, et des hommes soumis. Les Goréens ne nie pas cette évidence, et quelques hommes sont certainement plus dominants que d'autres,,,, et certaines femmes sont certainement plus dociles que d'autres. Les Goréens le reconnaissent, et en fait, il est une partie importante de la pensée Goréenne que chaque fois que vous essayez d'étiqueter les gens comme "identiques" en tout points, vous vous égarez.
Les Goréens connaissent l'histoire, l'existance de Jeanne d'Arc, de la reine Elizabeth d'Angleterre. Nous savons que les femmes ont portés les armes et ont combattu aux côtés de leurs hommes d'innombrables fois,,, plus récemment en Israël.

Les gens parlent de déréglements "génétiques", et de certaines circonstances insolites et contre nature. Un Goréen sain d'esprit ne se laisserait pas à dire ou penser que "tous les hommes sont forts, et toutes les femmes faibles", ou «tous les hommes sont dominants,,, et toutes les femmes soumises.»
Mais l'univers de Gor ne repose pas uniquement que sur le concept de l'ordre naturel des choses et des la supprémacie entre sexe. La philosophie qui guide Gor est plus l'idée que, nous, dans notre ensemble, nous sommes égarés trop loin de "l'ordre naturel" entre les sexes qui sont ce que notre patrimoine génétique et l'histoire de notre évolution ont vraiment fait de nous.
En d'autres termes,,, les hommes oublient d'être hommes,,, et les femmes ont perdu l'art d'être des femmes.
Ainsi, dans le mode de vie Goréen, nous nous réunissons et remontons le temps vraiment très loins dans la direction opposée. Et cela demande un maximum de masculinité de la part de l'homme,,, et un maximum de féminité de la part de la femme.
Cela a vraiment peu à voir avec la domination et la soumission,,, donc de l'appeler BDSM serait une erreur. Cela a plus à voir avec le rôle.
Il est vrai, que l'on dit souvent que les Goréens peuvent aller trop loin, et dans de nombreux cas, à l'autre extrême. Mais ils le font parce que la société a basculé si loin de l'équilibre que des mesures drastiques doivent être prises.

Beaucoup de sims Goréennes (monde virtuelle sur Second Life), ici, sur SL, ont des femmes qui tiennent le contrôle avec leurs esclaves mâles à genoux; et beaucoup pensent que certaines autres sim sont extrême pour ne pas permettre aux femmes libres (Dommes) d'être  «égal»  à l'homme au sein de leur communauté.
Les gens vont pointer vers Lara, la tatrix (Reine) de Tharna (ville controlé par une Domme dans l'univers de Gor),,,, ou les esclaves mâles portant des soies et au service de certaines femmes riches au sein de leur "Maison" dont on retrouve les récits dans les livres.
C'est, en effet, une partie de l'univers de Gor et il est difficile d'argumenter et de défendre la supprémacie totale de l'homme, quand on se retrouve face à quelqu'un jouant un rôle tel qu'il a été présenté dans les livres de Gor.
Mais le style de vie de Gor n'est pas fait pour les femmes «dominantes», et il n'est pas l'endroit pour les hommes faibles et soumis.

Nous pensons que les femmes sont en train de devenir trop dominantes dans la société et dans les relations, et que les hommes sont en train de devenir trop faible et irresponsable.
Ainsi, nous nous donnont le nom de "Goréens", et pratiquons un mode de vie qui cherche à ramener ce retour des choses dans son équilibre naturel.

J'ai assisté à une célébration,,,, une pose de collier BDSM, et j'ai observé un esclave mâle de l'une des Domme. Elle l'avait vêtu d'un costume de cow-boy,,, complété avec de petits pistolets jouets, et il se mit à genoux à ses pieds.
La pensée BDSM dirait,,,, c'est leur kink, et cela ne nuis pas, et ils auraient raison.
La pensée Goréenne dirait,,,, les hommes sont déjà bien assez faible, et doivent se redresser et quitter leur position à genoux, et se tenir debout afin d'agir comme des hommes, et ils auraient raison, aussi.

Parce que, l'univers BDSM et l'univers de Gor ne sont même pas comme des pommes et des oranges, Ils sont comme des pommes et des enclumes.Sans même être vaguement liés, on n'a pas besoin de choisir entre eux,,, ou prendre la parole en faveur de l'un contre l'autre.
Ils servent à des fins différentes, et sont guidés par des principes différents, et ajoute à la merveilleuse diversité de notre monde.

Well this is now 4 years i am part of the Second Life Community, and mostly as a member of the Gorean Community.

I have learned and followed what i would call a traditional path in learning what is Gor.

I am someone passionate and the time i spent online daily can be set as a minimum of 5 to 7 hours, so i guess i can have a point of view about the Second Life Gorean Community at this point.

 

When i first started, without any knowledge of Gor, i found myself into a French Gorean Sim, which basically taught me the very rudimentary basis of Gor and how to use a weapon in Second life, mostly "bow".

By Rudimentary, i mean:

-Gor is a Men's world

-There are sexy slaves in Gor

-Panthers are pretty sexy and enjoyable sluts.

-oh and not forget the basic, capture, cross & collar/brand the sluts.

 

Well.....after a couple months "playing that game" i finally decided to move on and try to see over the very poor picture of Gor i had been presented.....French are sadly not a model when it come to Gor.

 

I finally stepped in English Gorean Sim, well English/US, where i started to learn seriously about Gor and purchased books. I trust the English community to be more skilled and widely developed when it come to Gorean philosophy....well at least this was 3 years and half ago.....

 

I have learned a lot from my adventures left and right, i met a lot of different profiles in SL Gor, some were very passionate as myself, and being simply Gorean as an extension of their own personality and some other were simply "playing" a roleplay game where they would simply enjoy the environment without really to care about the psychology behind the scene.

 

With time, i have seen more and more that 2nd group of "players" developing and increasing in term of Second life Gorean population, which led to an actual environment that look more like a FPS/Shoot em up environment with not really a knowledge of what is Gor but the basic rules i listed before...

-Gor is a Men's world

-There are sexy slaves in Gor

-Panthers are pretty sexy and enjoyable sluts.

-oh and not forget the basic, capture, cross & collar/brand the sluts.

 

THIS IS NOT GOR!!!

 

Actually, Second Life is a place where you will find a legion of Gorean SIMS which for 90 to 95% are not respecting the spirit of the books. So let's call them Gorean Evolved SIMS or Ungorean SIMS.

 

In Second Life Gor, you find 2 categories of Roleplay Environment.

1- The Gorean Evolved or the Gorean Fake By the Books SIMS: Most of these people are just using with their low knowledge of Gor (mostly from notecards), to build SIMS that look like Gorean, taste like gorean (Capture/collar/Masters/slaves/etc....) but are completely Anarchic....

What do i mean?

I mean that there are no respect of the Spirit of Gor...People there are not Roleplaying correctly, they look mostly for "Fun" by using to shoot after anything that come around, and have their fun with it, such as capture/rape/torture/kill and all this mostly just for the sake of it, without to respect the spirit of the books, because they have no clue about what this mean since they have for most not read a single book, but are basing their roleplay on eventually some notecards they read and which often contain some mistakes and onlinisms.

So to make it short, this represent actually 90% to 95% of the Second Life Gorean Community.

 

2-The "By the Books" Gorean SIM: Most of these places have been built by people dedicated to Gor, idealist and trully wanting to create a gorean environment as close as possible from what been painted in the books by John Norman.

Now, this is good! oohhhh yes, you will think that is wonderful to have such place.....

But the Second Life Gorean BtB tend to have a serious problem....He cannot unite....He need to create his own SIM and rule it....

So you have 5% to 10% of Gorean SIMS that are basically populated by dedicated persons, but they are mostly on their own or little groups of 5 peoples which come online whenever they can....so in the end, since a SIM is rather expensive and there is rarely the support of anyone, they dies and get closed......

What happen?

Another BtB gorean person is going to decide to create his own SIM.....and so the typical process of a futur dead SIM is restarted....

I can t understand people....Gor In SL, as BtB Gor is a very little world, people know each other, they know from long time for usually they are around SL GOR for years and have simply created another Avatar (Alts) for X or Y reason....But in the end, these people are the same.

People complain about Gor, and how it evolved during the last few years from what was at least a minimum Gorean, to what it became today...a pure joke where Gor is seen as a BDSM environment....and sadist/mazo get lost in an environment that is not their to be.

 

Seriously, ask yourself, and i am speaking to you, people claiming to be true Gorean....Ask yourself, who is to blame here?

I will simply say "YOU"

You are to blame, because you let this happen, your internal fights & dramas, that led you to walk away instead of acting in a mature way and move on, solving the dramas In Character and not turn it into an out of character fight....

You let this happen, you are the responsible of what Second Life gor is now.

 

New people come to Gor, still, there are people discovering, like i did, without a clue of what Gor is, without to know there are books...And what do they find?

Second Life Gor Evolve.....They are being told by people acting ungorean, what is Gor.

When it should be us, people respecting in a strict way the spirit of the books, that should lead and teach the new generations.

 

Now you will tell me....alright, and what are you doing?? you speak a lot, but what are you doing to change this?

 

This is now since March 2011 that i am in charge of a BtB Gorean SIM, yes, i do give the best of myself to save what can be saved of the spirits of the books of Gor. Now, i am sadly coming to think that anything you can do, anything you can offer to people, Freely, they will just ruin it.

You offer a full Gorean Environment, where they find SIM Owners fully dedicated to Gor, and giving the best of their own self to promote the sim, develop roleplay, create events, recruit new people, and all this with the most controverted and disliked part of a SIM...The Rules!!

 

The problem you have in Second Life Gor, is that no one care the rules as soon as there is something you dislike in them. People have no respect of Gor, they can't live by the rules of the books, because it is too much they can accept, it would ruin their "fun" and people want to have fun, but they want it "THEIR WAY", not the way used in the books.

 

So when you are strictly sticking to the rules, you are then pointed as a Tyran, or sort of God moding SIM Owner, that do as he want and do not let you have your fun.

I am Sorry, if i have to broke your fun and way to be in Gor, just to preserve the spirit of the books, then i will damn straight do it!

 

Another thing is, people need to see other in a SIM, if you come around and see no one, or 2 or 3 people on the SIM with your mini map, then basically, you try to find another one where there are more people to roleplay with....

Alright, Fair enough...now if you would stay a little on the sim, and start a roleplay, you could perhaps see someone else coming like you to find some roleplay....and so on and on, waiting a little and engaging RP with the few people present on the sim, would allow you to discover the place, their people, and bring life to a SIM that need it!

But instead of this, the reaction is typical...not enough people ====> Teleport out.

That's just ridiculous, give it time, and explore, take your time, there are people that are living there, they might not be online for a different time zone...

what does this mean?

if you like the place you discover, why not try to apply and bring people to create a different time zone group.

If you support the rules and find comfortable with the few contacts you had with the Sim owner and the people living around, why not stay!

It is not only the duty of the SIM owner to bring life and people to a SIM, but it is the duties of each one of us, to create roleplay and engage people coming around your home.

Are you on SL GOR to Roleplay or to wait in front your screen doing nothing?

 

So now my question is....

What do you want? Gor as it has been written by John Norman? or Gor as you want to write it?

Personally i want it by the books, and i would dream of people sharing the same goal, to unite and regroup in a single place.....

I don t know how...regroup in a few sims and join them all together in a sort of massive continent....

But do something, and do it seriously, for soon, Gor will be nothing but a pure joke, totally alienated by people that have no respect for anything.

 

Gor is a Harsh world, yes, it is a world of passion, of wars, of love, and most of all, Codes!!!

 

Save Gor...while it is possible.

Greetings Dear Gorean, and new comers,

I happen to have read again a notice i have between the "millions" of notice laying in my inventory, and found it important enough to come and share it here, i know Gor is a place that is not seen as safe and sane by many, for its psychology is often pointed at to be extremely harsh and extreme.

I would have to recognize that the world painted by John Norman in his novels, is clearly not a nice world where Wars, deaths, slavery is more then common. Only the Stronger survive, the weaker end killed or enslaved.

Now let's all remember that this is only books, and a complete fantasy world, the only thing that could be seen as more or less "realistic" is the way people may adhere to the D/s relation described in GOR. It is basically an Extreme D/s world based and entering such place, you should be aware of your environment by minimum reading the 1st Books of Gor and then keep in mind this is no way a "Real" world. Get all the Fantasy you like around it, even if you find yourself attracted by the D/s side of Gor and wish to explore it deeper, keep in mind that you may fall on total Predators and Abusers that will take you down, dangerously down and it may become a real question of health care to detect and stop these peoples.

Despite all best efforts there are and will continue to be predators and RL emotional abusers in SL and SL Gor.  Mostly men, they tend to seek out who they see as lonely or very impressionable.  If you believe that you have contacted one such person immediately tell the leaders of Tyros.  They are ways to help determine and signs to look for.  Be aware that such a person will NOT normally have all of the same traits.  Also a good person may have a few of these traits that are not as harmful like #11 and 13.

1. usually tries to embed himself within city kennels or public social places like taverns
2. Uses emoting to delve deeper into psyche of his slave, may require extensive chores, written assignments and punishments.
3. insists after a short time of collaring to take the slave from the city/camp/town SIM, restricting her contacts and many times keeping her by herself
4. after a while will start talking of a financial woes and slowly will begin to try to gain money
5. will begin to take lindens from his slaves
6. makes the slave work all of the time for him like in a shop and all lindens go to him
7.  seeks RL information (last name, address)
8. changes and begins to emotionally abuse constantly and if possible by voice or phone
9. Works on making his slave feel a worthless, this is a slow and calculated process.  The more the feeling grows, the more the slave feels she is to blame for anything wrong.
10. In CAM may begin to instruct the slave to create harm to herself as a way to show to him how much she is dedicated (while he watches)
11. Changes things to his liking such as shape, skin, hair of his slave.
12. Restricts and logs all IM's so he can read and make demands of who she can and cannot speak to.
13. RLV use extensive to include blindfolding (blacking out) screen, avie control of limbs of his slave, ability to muffle all typed chat.
14. Does not reveal information about himself or his activities in SL and RL, if revealed, is likely lies.
15. Ignores her to the point of neglect.
16. May not fur his slave unless she has been "perfect" usually finding something done wrong to keep her needful of him.
17. Disregards RL emotions, does not allow to speak ooc, saying she is a slave always, even second of her life, even if she has RL children in her home.
18.  If obtains phone number may begin calling all hours of the day and night, so as to control every part of her life.

If you are really interested in becoming a Second Life By The Book Gorean Slave then you will need to know a little more about what is expected of you and secondly, what you are going to be taught.

The training walks through the very basics and will lead you step by step through the protocols of role-play, Gorean greetings & etiquette, the various positions of a Kajira, service (including food & drink), basic dance and finally the geography of Gor.   And because all the training takes place on a live Gorean SIM, you will be in character throughout.

    •    You will undergo an induction that will outline everything before you commit to training

    •    Not all applicants are accepted into training
